Welcome to the AFP South Carolina Piedmont Chapter website! We are committed to supporting development professionals throughout the Upstate region of South Carolina. Our chapter has over 100 active members, who serve as development directors, fundraising consultants, grant writers, volunteer fundraisers, foundation executives, and other individuals dedicated to fundraising and philanthropy. 

If you are a development professional, a volunteer involved in the philanthropic process, interested in fundraising as a career, or just want to know more about AFP, we welcome you!

We hold regular educational meetings at the Thornblade Club in Greer, SC.

Porter-Gaud School and the Porter-Gaud Foundation seek an experienced, dynamic, and resourceful development professional to provide leadership, strategic vision, and direction for all philanthropic efforts, stewardship activities, and alumni and parent relations. Jan 30 - Senior Director of Development for the College of Engineering & Computing
The Senior Director is responsible for an effective, comprehensive development program and supervision of the staff. Reporting to the University’s Senior Associate Vice President of Development (SAVP) and strategizing with the dean of the college, the Senior Director will build on the current program, adding innovative ideas to strengthen the annual giving and major and principal gift efforts for the college. Partnering with the USC Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations, the Senior Director will continue strong relationships with corporations and develop new ones. The Senior Director is a member of the SAVP’s leadership team and collaborates with development colleagues across the campus around prospects and projects for the larger University.
