Welcome to the AFP South Carolina Piedmont Chapter website! We are committed to supporting development professionals throughout the Upstate region of South Carolina. Our chapter has over 100 active members, who serve as development directors, fundraising consultants, grant writers, volunteer fundraisers, foundation executives, and other individuals dedicated to fundraising and philanthropy. 

If you are a development professional, a volunteer involved in the philanthropic process, interested in fundraising as a career, or just want to know more about AFP, we welcome you!

We hold regular educational meetings at the Thornblade Club in Greer, SC.

Thornwell Home for Children is currently seeking a Mission Advancement Officer for South Carolina. This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: promoting awareness of Thornwell’s mission state-wide in order to maximize philanthropic support from individuals and other public and private constituencies. This position will be responsible for coordination of all events, presentations and receptions throughout the state.
