AFP Luncheon: Data: How to Use It and How to Share It
After spending the first few years out of college working at a marketing firm and battling the snow storms in Pittsburgh, PA, Eric realized that he could pick anywhere in the world to live, so he moved to Charleston, SC. Holding a BS in Marketing and in Computer Science while spending his free time volunteering at the local food banks, he searched for something that could fit his educational background but also fulfill his passion for philanthropy. In 2005, Eric joined Blackbaud, at their headquarters, and has been immersed in non-profit data and analytics ever since. His very first task was to export data from a client’s database and append updated contact and wealth information. Now, he works with over 150 Account Executives at Blackbaud to teach them how to use some of the same types of data to improve fundraising effectiveness. When he’s not building queries or dashboards, Eric is active in the community, where he plays recreational sports, drives a route for East Cooper Meals-on-Wheels with his family and volunteers with his teams at Low Country Foodbank, Habitat of Humanity, The First Tee and many other local non-profits.
